What is IOAD?

International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD) is a global event convened by Penington Institute, held annually on the 31st of August.

 

 IOAD is the world’s largest campaign dedicated to ending overdose, inspiring individuals and communities to take action and promote change. It serves as a day of reflection, advocacy, and solidarity for those impacted by substance use and overdose.
